The first one-day seminar on painless childbirth was held on August 22, 2017 at the Evin Hotel with the participation of anesthesiologists, gynecologists and midwives, which brought 4 retraining points for these groups.

Painless childbirth is important because in most developed countries, painless natural childbirth has become commonplace for more than three decades due to the risk of anesthesia, surgery, and complications of cesarean section. In fact, doctors believe that with the new and uncomplicated techniques available for painless natural childbirth, no pregnant woman should suffer from severe pain during natural childbirth. It has also significantly reduced the number of cesarean sections performed for fear of normal labor pain. In Iran, the Ministry of Health has made regular plans to introduce and express the benefits of using this method to gynecologists and anesthesiologists, but unfortunately only 1% of deliveries performed in Iran use this method.

Tachra Daroo Company sponsored the conference in order to take a step in this direction, and in this program, Rutivacaine Multeni ampoule was introduced as a local anesthetic for painless delivery.

This seminar was held with the presence of members of the Anesthesiology Association, Pain Association, Women's Association and the Deputy of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the provinces from all over Iran with more than 180 specialists. (Cities of Tehran, Karaj, Shiraz, Ilam, Isfahan, Qazvin, Qom, Bam, etc.).

The program began with a speech by Dr. Salimi (President of the Iranian Anesthesiology Association) about the achievements and problems of the anesthesia group and a speech by Dr. Hashemi (President of the Iranian Pain Studies Association) about the future goals of the group.

The executive secretary of this program was Dr. Delshad, and Dr. Parsa thanked Tachra Daroo Company for holding a seminar on painless delivery and invited the professors to give a speech as follows.
